It's recipe time, kids.
For my "decompressing" time I chose to bake Three Great Tastes Blond Brownies from my Hershey's Classic Recipes cookbook, given to me by Mommy.
And they were amazing. Very sweet. A little goes a long way, so have a glass of milk on-hand. And let it rolllll down. My MAPS friends liked them; I had to share because otherwise I would've eaten the entire pan.
You will need:
2 cups packed light brown sugar
1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, melted
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup (of each) semi-sweet chocolate chips, Reese's peanut butter chips, premier white chips
Chocolate Chip Drizzle (recipe follows at the end)
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1-inch jelly-roll pan.
2. Stir together brown sugar and butter in large bowl; beat in eggs and vanilla until smooth. Add flour and salt, beating just until blended; stir in chocolate, peanut butter and white chips. Spread batter into prepared pan.
3. Bake 25-30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted into center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. With tines of fork, drizzle chocolate chip drizzle randomly over bars. Makes about 72 bars.
Chocolate Chip Drizzle: In small microwave-safe bowl, place 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1/4 teaspoon shortening (do not use butter, margarine, spread, or oil). Microwave at high 30 seconds to 1 minute; stir until chips are melted and mixture is smooth.
Also, look at my dolly!!! She is wonderful. I am proudly obsessed.
She is wearing some green pjs that Wilder wore and they are getting too small. We can't bear to box them up.
Lastly, be sure to hop on over to I Can Teach My Child! tomorrow for Wilder's mud-pie debut as part of their Show and Share Saturday.
