Betty Crocker's Apple Crisp

Anyone besides me enjoy the crunch, warmth, and chilly ice cream combination that make up the apple crisp palette experience? Oh, joy. Oh rapture!

I chose to make Betty Crocker's version. You will need (minus the sugar; I photographed the ingredients then switched recipes last minute):
This $1 garage sale find, a Pampered Chef Apple Peeler/Corer/Slicer, was a steal. It's changed my life.
The crisp turned out beautifully.
But things quickly took a turn for the worst.

I placed the pan on top of the stove to cool. On a burner in fact. Then I put a pot of water on to boil on the other burner in preparation for dinner. Except I pushed the wrong button and the register the apple crisp was sitting on was the one that turned on...and ceramic isn't meant to sit on the stovetop. So my pan cracked. It made a hissing/thunk-thunk sound. Scary. There was lots of smoke.
See, I am not perfect. I have kitchen foibles almost weekly.

I managed to salvage some...oh it's so warm and yummy and fall-ish. And if you don't burn something, your house will smell cinnamon-ey and homey!
My darlin' clementine loves to jump. We went and had girl time with friends today. Bliss.
