My favorite Bible verses. EVER.

I am ready to share with you the most amazing piece of Scripture I have ever had the privilege to see, know, learn, love. It is now my personal mantra.

Are you ready?

The Gentiles shall see your righteousness,
And all kings your glory.
You shall be called by a new name,

Which the mouth of the Lord will name.

You shall also be a crown of glory

In the hand of the Lord,
And a royal diadem

In the hand of your God.

You shall no longer be termed Forsaken,

Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate;

But you shall be called Hephziba, and your land Beulah;

For the Lord delights in you.

And your land shall be married.

Isaiah 61:2-4

Hephziba means "my delight is in her"
Beulah means "married"

Oh that this passage of Scripture could have come to my heart years ago, when I struggled with self-worth, self-esteem, inadequacy, and other things Satan enjoys yo-yo-ing me around on {still}! It's meaning is so magnificent and deep-rooted for me in an inexplicable way. It validates me (the Lord delights in you), and beckons me.

I have a name, a secret name only God knows. And He'll tell it to me when I'm in heaven. And it'll be just our secret. And it will be a celebration of all He's overcome for my heart. Of all the pain He has squashed. Of all the glory He received by using me as a vessel to love people.

I could really write for days about how this passage has transformed my life, but I want you to soak in the words for yourself, let them get into your thought processing. They WILL change the way you think. Jesus has a way of breaking us {free} that way.

We are busy. So, so, so busy. And we are hard on ourselves. So, so hard on ourselves. But there is a God who desires to slow down with us, to delight in us, hold us still for a minute, so He can soak in our beauty, so He can minister to His beloved. So He can cradle His daughter. Soothe the wounds and handle the worries. God can do this.

Oh Lord, do this.

My delight is in her.
