Repurposed wooden spoons

A friend texted me: is today normal? I chuckled because it was so appropriate a question since life's been so not normal.

Refreshingly, today was normal!

A day at home all to ourselves (never mind we are kindof stranded because the car needs fixed)...laid out on the back patio talking, danced to Coldplay's Strawberry Swing, did a craft, did the dishes (Wilder), ate cookies, read books. This is the stuff life is made of. I am so grateful to be feeling well.

Now, how about that craft? I'd seen the wooden spoon idea in a magazine, but I can't remember which one. You don't really need directions, though. Just paint, decorate, and enjoy your puppet friends in a show! I of course found these ratty spoons at an estate sale for $0 probably.

Get set up
Time to paint
Check on Sissy while spoons are drying (and change shirts? I guess we did that too)
She's okay, Mommy.
Add embellishments
Have a show!
Stan and Fran (who has her own Marilyn Monroe beauty "mark") talked about cookie cutter bread
Don't forget cleanup!
And that was our normal morning.

Wilder gets cuter with each day! So glad you had a "normal" day! Love those puppets.

Yeah for a "normal" day. Sounds like you made the most of it and enjoyed what is important. I love the puppets!

This is not how my momma repurposed her wooden spoons... although, it did always involve a child. (This looks like a lot more fun!)
