How to Make a Simple Peanut Butter Pie

You'll never see a picture of a pie on my blog that is all intact. Always, always, always I can't help but have, and immediately, a piece of whatever I'm making, and that seems to happen before I've had a chance to photograph the pie. :)

This Peanut Butter Pie from my friend Liz is truly no exception. So rich, cold, and a wonderfully doughy crust...truly more than I can handle.
Peanut Butter Pie, where have you been all my life?
Liz and Amy's Peanut Butter Pie| Ingredients|
1 1/2 cups flour
1 1/2 tsp sugar
1/2 cup oil
2 Tbsp milk
1/2 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup powdered sugar
1 small box vanilla instant pudding mix
2 cups cold milk
1 tub Cool Whip
In an 8-9 inch pie pan, combine salt, flour and sugar.
Then add the oil and milk to the mixture.
Mix with fork and spread with fingers over pie pan.
Yes I did rush in/out of the house from kitchen to patio to get decent natural lighting shots. I was fighting sunset!
Bake crust 10-15 mins at 375 F.
Once the crust is cool, combine peanut butter and powdered sugar in a bowl. Stir until crumbly. Set aside.Prepare the vanilla pudding with milk as directed for pie filling. Set aside.

Now that the crust is cool, sprinkle most of the peanut butter/powdered sugar mixture into the pie shell. Pour vanilla pudding over the crumbs.
Spread with whipped topping. Sprinkle remaining peanut butter crumbs on top. Chill and keep refrigerated.Enjoy every bite!!
What's your favorite recipe using peanut butter?

Oh, man. That looks absolutely amazing. I don't blame you for not being able to take a picture of the full pie - I wouldn't be able to, either!

That's the pie my family makes, too! I've never seen a crust done like that--have to try it. Our recipe has double the milk/pudding and says you can use chocolate instead. Yum yum!

So happy you posted my pie!! YUMMO! And special thanks to Amy Graf for passing this recipe to me :) I noticed your pudding looked set up before you put it on the pie, you can also pour it on when it is still in a liquid form and it makes it easier ;) (little helpful hint).
Love you friend, let's eat it together again!!

I am a new follower and your blog is fabulous!

My hubby loves peanut butter almost as much as he loves me so it looks like I am going to have to take this recipe down for my own recipe box and put it to use! Thanks for sharing with us!!!

feel free to check out my blog sometime too! I am a newbie and could use a little guidance/advice/support/whatever you want to throw at me!
