Just a quick update from the road!

Enjoying the porch and the summer air with family.

First Birthday Treats

For Wilder's first birthday I made this:
Time consuming but so worth it.
For Story's first birthday I made this:

Can you tell Story is second-born?

The yummyness is really all that matters. We are going to share the big cookie with my mom, since she and Sissy have the same b-day.

It is sunny and breezy here. And I'm probably more excited about borrowing Shawn's parents mini-van than I should be.

You know we're going to rock it.

Happy First Birthday, Story!!

My sweet little angel is one today. I love her with all my heart.

She has changed me and helped me grow up and out of my hangups.

There's nothing I'd rather do than celebrate her today. She is my treasure and delight.

We made a little video this morning. Pardon my no-makeup and wet hair.

Hard to believe that 365 days took her from this:
to this:
Kinda crumbles my heart. She melts me. We are so honored to have her in our family.

Happy Birthday, Lovey Perfection of Happiness and Joy/Story!!

Wishes and Dreams Spring Wreath

I needed to do something relaxing last night so I made a simply sweet wreath.
Again, just can't say enough about the therapeutic power of crafting.

What have you been making? We went to HobLob again today for more supplies for Story's party. I could be in that store for hours.
There was a garden gnome I wanted but I used self-control...

and bought a pillow on clearance instead!
Sacrifice builds character.

Thought about it Thursday

I've thought about it: today's been good.

Had a couple of rough emotional days but things are looking better. My moods kindof go with the weather; it is sunny and gorgeous out, finally.

Care to see what we've been up to?

Adorned messy pony to feel less scroungy since I never have time for jewelry/win award for world's tallest fly-away:
Took my gorgeous babies to HobLob to find loot bag treasures for Story's first b-day.
I was parked during rear view mirror pics; promise.
Shawn, Jr, basically:
Yes, she's one year old this Saturday.
Got some new underwear from my SIL (who is moving to Alabama-I am sad):
Also excited this Roomba (on loan) is cleaning for me today:
Have the rest of the day/evening as a family; looking forward to it.

What have you thought about on this Thought About it Thursday? {I made that up}

Flea Market!

I can't tell you how much fun it was to join the proprietors of The Red Elephant, Like the Rain, and Perfectly Imperfect in having the cutest flea market booth to boot!

I have way more vintage stuff than I thought...I may be a hoarder?

We had a blast! It was a little humid in the building but I enjoyed people watching and talking with the girls. We were supposed to be there at 5:30a.m. I made it by 7:10a.m.

Kyle, I am stealing your photos:
Here are some of mine:
I even sold a few headbands. They are therapeutic to make. Each one gets a "Mindy spin."
Lastly, be sure to check out Like the Rain to win a set of hand-molded cabochon hairpins!

The kind of stuff we do

The kinds of things we do are go to playdates and birthday parties and the store and the park and on errands and doctor's appointments.

I try to capture these everyday moments "on film" as much as I can, but forget to post them to the blog, or don't, because they don't seem like "that big of a deal."

Well that's silly. Every challenging, wonderful day makes up the greater whole.

Enjoy these photos of a recent 3rd birthday party. This party stuff is off the hook! I love being a mom...these parties are fun for the kids plus there's cake. And loot bags. Buying the presents is fun, too.
So I'm sort of madly in love with this boy.

And I love my GIRLS...my friends and their girls.

If you are local and need a cake done I know someone. Imagine that! I sortof get made fun of for not being native to the area but still somehow knowing lots of people...I love seeing people I know around town.

Peeps are my thang. Yes, you count.
