I remember a time in my teen years when polymer clay was really big...I can remember swirling the colors together to make pretty beads. Today's craft is simpler but still uses that fun crafting medium. To make the pretty heart ornament do-dad, simply roll out some clay and use a heart-shaped cookie cutter to make the heart shape. Stamp letters into the clay (I chose "forever"), then bake at 230F for 30+ mins. Adorn with a lace bow.
To make a ring, necklace, or earrings, look for a chain, bail plate, ring base, and earring base/backs at the craft store. Make your rose per this tutorial. Then bake as directed. Glue the rose to whichever jewelry item you are making.
