Dog Days of Summer

It's hotter than the blazes here.
We went to Story's pediatric check up a month too early;
I wrote the wrong day on the calendar. What to do?
After the grocery store we decided to slip-n-slide.
I scrounged up some work out clothes and jumped right in.
Except I can't slip-n-slide. I am told old and too big.
Too uncoordinated.
But these two?
They thoroughly enjoyed the slide, oblivious to the heat.
Thankful for the simple joys in life.

Oh how I wish I had a yard so I could lay out a slip n' slide for the girls. Too bad we aren't neighbors. Our kids would have so much fun together. :)

Oh Mindy - they are so cute....and it is so hot that there is nothing like a slip n slide afternoon! If my pictures were organized I could pull out a picture or two of A & S slippin' and slidden' that would look very similar to these two adorables!!

That's what Sophie and Talia are doing right now! I went out to watch and Nathan said, "doesn't this make you want to join them?" I thought about saying yes but then remembered I'm lactating. Ouch and NO.

How fun! Great photos :) Slip n slides used to be a family favorite... I tried one again a couple of years ago and came away bruised and sore! Haha, I felt so old!
