I love that you read your kids a story about Jesus' birth each Christmas. While shopping and opening presents is fun, it's important to remember what the day is all about.
We have the same tradition. I started it when my daughter was 2 years old. I was spending the holidays at my parents house and found a children's book about Jesus' birth that my grandmother had read to me when I was a child! It was a beautiful discovery and the perfect timing. I was thrilled at the realization I could continue the tradition. I hope my daughter continues the tradition some day with her kiddos!
